Bonjour and bienvenue to La Crêpe Franglaise.
I am Michel, the founder of La Crêpe franglaise and early in my career as a chef I worked in the French Alps serving crêpes, and have dreamt of bringing these to the UK ever since. Finally, twenty years later my wife and I made this dream come true when we bought and converted our little Renault van (Marie-Antoinette) and have been having a fantastic time with it ever since.
Everyone loves a crêpe, whether sweet or savoury, traditional or a little bit quirky.
We have worked very hard to master our own recipes, so you are safe in the knowledge that our batters are freshly made and no "packet mix" will ever be used. We try, wherever possible, to use authentic ingredients and products such as Buckwheat flour, Nutella, Crême de Marron, Calvados, Grand Marnier... We do love our classics such as Lemon & Sugar, Crêpe Suzette or Nutella & Banana, but we also like to experiment with other flavours that have more of a British influence like Rhubarb & Custard, Eton Mess or even a Bakewell flavour...
We are proud to be able to cater for a variety of dietary needs including vegetarian and gluten-free.
Met these guys in there stunning little French crepe van.... Must say best I've ever tasted - chocolate hazelnut and marshmallows is a must !!
